As of Monday morning, there are 286 active listings of homes for sale in Victoria. Last week, 17 new homes hit the market and a total of 18 homes went under contract. 10 homes closed last week for an average of 94.9% of list price and an average of just 130 days on the market.
It was a quieter stretch in our local market this past week, but there is plenty happening beneath the surface. Active listings are holding strong at 280+ homes, giving buyers a nice variety of options to tour. With so few closings, we are experiencing the late summer lull as buyers take a temporary break to focus on back-to-school routines. A slower week for closings doesn’t mean it’s a stagnant market. In fact, fantastic new homes are hitting the market each week. For active buyers this offers an advantage of less competition and motivated sellers.
